Film Titles :The Usual Suspects Director :Bryan Singer
The usual suspects is my favourite film. It is so intelligently written. The opening sequence is very stylized, we could do this but we want to create our own Keyser Söze, a mysterious character.
This film was a straight link to the character we wanted to create. Rosamund Pike plays the role of 'Amy', the gone girl. She tricks everyone from her past life that she is missing and that in fact her cheating husband was the murderer. She is intelligent and leaves her murder scene in the perfcet mess so forensics will pick up on everything they need ``````````````
Funny games in this opening sequence they use the contrast of two opposites of music types to scare the audience and to shock them when it comes on. When I first the film I actually got the biggest fright.
From crisp classical to horrifying heavy metal it shows your the plot of the film simply straight away. It portrays the family as well educated and loving family. Then the dramatic change of music followed with bright red letters shows you that their summer is going to be ruined by something harsh and brutal (like the music).
I really would love to use this in our opening sequence to show
the plans that our main girl has. It will go from simple musac to
heavy metal. It will be hard to edit but we hope that it will work
One of the most intelligent and twisted films I have ever watched. Despite it is hard to watch and has a devastating story, it is made so creatively. I really love a lot of Haneke's work, but this has to be the best of his work. The dialogue is precise, the main characters speak in a childish way, explaining everything they wish to do and push the tortured to play 'a game'. The main character as you can see at the top stares into the camera at times addressing the audience almost to say, this could happen to you at home. I would like our final product to be like funny games, creative, hard to watch and sick.
